Taking care of the glazed windows

A nice looking glazed window will look great inside your house. But weather changes, excessive heat, pollution and normal wear and tear can all lead to discoloration of the window and spoil the look of the entire house. But at the same time there are ways to make sure that the windows remain the same way as they were installed.

Use the vacuum cleaners for the windows as well

Vacuuming the window panes frames, seals, screws and the openings makes it very difficult for the dirt to build up which always leads to discoloring and sometimes even damage the windows. The other advantage of regularly vacuuming the windows means you don’t have to use soap and water to clean the windows very often and this takes a serious amount of time and energy.

Reducing the damp

Condensation is like window cancer and can happen on any kind of windows. These often lead to damp and the spot becomes black in color making it look ugly. Make sure that the rooms are always well ventilated as it reduces the chance of condensation.

Clean the windows in a traditional way

The best way to sparkle the double glazed windows is to use a sock and dip it in a mixture of water and vinegar and wipe the window with it. This is not only cheap but can be easily made at home in no time.

Never use high pressure sprays

The sprays work great for the driveway and on patio furniture and are also a fun way of cleaning but never use them on your double glazed windows. The reason for this is the high pressure can sometimes weaken the sealed area and makes the glass to crack. Though, by using a good craftsman you can make a UPVC Window Replacement.

Never opt for the quick fix

Double glazed windows are made out of two separate sheets of glass and are very strong, but at the same time they are also very fragile and accidents can happen at any time. An accident or a baseball or a cricket ball hitting the window might ask for a replacement of a pane. Never try to fix them by yourself as only an experienced carpenter can successfully make a UPVC Window Replacement. Also, a wrongly fitted window pane will cost you more in the long run.
